Are pets allowed in the hotel?

No, pets are unfortunately not allowed in our hotel. On the Hotel Specials website you will find an overview of where you can stay with your pet when you visit South Limburg.

Do you also have triple rooms?

Can the beds be split?

In most rooms, beds can be split, but not in all rooms. Please indicate when booking that you require split beds and we can take this into account when making the room arrangements.

Which rooms have a bath?

None of the rooms have a bathtub. However, all rooms do have a private shower.

Is there a kettle in the room?

Yes, every room is equipped with a kettle.

Can we use an ironing board?

No, there is unfortunately no ironing board in the hotel rooms.

Is there a coffee machine in the room?

Yes, every room is equipped with a coffee machine.

Is it possible to organise parties at the hotel?

Yes, it is possible to organise parties in consultation at Carré Hotel Zuid-Limburg or at Grand Carré Naeve de Paort. The date, time, type of party and various other matters do matter here.

However, we will be happy to talk to you about your wishes and possibilities. If, for any reason, it is not possible to organise your party at the venue, we will always work with you to find an alternative location.

Which room types can I book at Carré Hotel Zuid-Limburg?

All rooms feature: Private bathroom, towels, free wifi, toiletries, TV and tea/coffee making facilities.

Studio + Loft: These room types also have air conditioning, private fridge, private kitchen, sitting area and roof terrace.

How does Keyless work?

Prior to your stay, you will receive a digital key by e-mail. Through the link, you can access a unique web page. You access it by swiping the button with the arrows to the right. 

 

From what time can I check in?

Carré Hotel Zuid-Limburg works with digital keys, with which you can enter the hotel and your room from 15:00 hrs as standard, check-in is then no longer necessary. If you wish to arrive earlier, you can request an early check-in for €10 per room. However, this depends on availability, unfortunately we cannot guarantee this. In that case, it is possible to leave your bags with us earlier so you can continue your day without any worries.

You will receive information about the digital keys by e-mail prior to your stay. So keep a close eye on your inbox (and possibly your spam).

Until what time can I check out?

The standard check-out time is 11:00. If you wish to stay longer, please request a late check-out.

Can I temporarily leave my luggage with you before or after my stay?

Yes, it is possible to leave your luggage with us before or after your stay. One of the hosts or hostesses will receive your suitcases and other luggage. However, Carré Hotel Zuid-Limburg does not have a 24/7 reception so we can only hand back your suitcases and luggage when one of our colleagues is present. Leaving your luggage behind is therefore entirely at your own risk. We accept no responsibility in the event of theft or damage.

Is breakfast included at Carré Hotel Zuid-Limburg?

The rates on our website and in our booking module do not include breakfast. Breakfast is only available on Saturdays and Sundays. For breakfast, we cooperate with the adjacent (indoor) restaurant, Grand Carré Naeve de Paort. It is best to discuss your breakfast requirements with them on arrival or contact them in advance at info@naevedepaort.nl.

What are the restaurant's opening hours?

  • Monday and Tuesday: Closed
  • Wednesday: 12:00 - 18:00
  • Thursday and Friday: 12:00 - 21:00
  • Saturday and Sunday: 10:00 - 21:00

Should we make reservations for lunch, drinks or dinner?

For questions regarding breakfast, lunch, drinks or dinner, please refer to the restaurant located in the same building as our hotel, Grand Carré Naeve de Paort. It is best to discuss your requirements with them on arrival or contact them in advance using the details below.

What does 'Naeve de Paort' mean?

'Naeve de Paort' is Limburg dialect and literally means 'Beside the gate'.

The reason for naming the hospitality area next to the hotel after it has to do with the fact that the property as a whole is a National monument is. It was given this monumental status by the keystone above the gate on the East/Street side of the property.

Do I need to book breakfast in advance or can I specify it during my stay?

It is best to book breakfast in advance online, but it is also possible to request breakfast at a later time. If you still wish to make use of it, you can do so at the bar of Grand Carré Naeve de Paort. Please note, however, that breakfast is only available on Saturdays and Sundays.

Between what times can I use breakfast?

You can enjoy breakfast on Saturday and Sunday between 8:30 and 11:00.

Can I have breakfast earlier than 8:30am?

Unfortunately, it is not possible to have breakfast earlier than 8:30 am. For breakfast, we cooperate with the adjacent (indoor) restaurant, Grand Carré Naeve de Paort. It is best to discuss your breakfast requirements with them at the time of check-in or contact them before arrival via info@naevedepaort.nl.

How high is the tourist tax?

The tourist tax is €2.50 per person per night for adults and children over 4 years old.

I would like to pay on arrival. Is that possible?

By default, this is not possible. You will receive a confirmation and payment link after you have made a reservation. This is partly for safety reasons and partly to combat the number of no-shows. In consultation, however, it is possible to deviate from this standard. In that case, please contact us via info@carrehotel.nl.

You will receive a link to online payment portal when you make your reservation. This allows you to pay for your booking via iDeal, Bancontact, Sofort or bank transfer.

What are the payment options?

Currently, we only accept online payments via iDeal, Bancontact and Sofort. For security reasons, we do not accept cash. We also do not accept credit cards. Finally, it is not yet possible to pay with PIN on site.

I need an invoice. How do I get one?

Did you make a reservation directly through Carré Hotel Zuid-Limburg? Then you will receive an invoice when you check out of the hotel. Did you not receive an invoice? Please email info@carrehotel.nl with your reservation details. We will be happy to help you. Did you make a reservation through another organisation? Request your invoice from the organisation in question.

I want to pay by credit card. Is this possible?

No, it is unfortunately not possible to pay by credit card.

Is there a lift available?

No, unfortunately there is no lift in our hotel. However, we do have 4 rooms on the ground floor. Please therefore indicate when booking if you have mobility problems or do not wish to climb stairs for any other reason. In that case, we will make every effort to provide you with a room on the ground floor.

Is there an area where we can leave our bags?

Yes, it is possible to leave your luggage with us before or after your stay. One of the hosts or hostesses will receive your suitcases and other luggage. However, Carré Hotel Zuid-Limburg does not have a 24/7 reception so we can only hand back your suitcases and luggage when one of our colleagues is present. Leaving your luggage behind is therefore entirely at your own risk. We accept no responsibility in the event of theft or damage.

Where can I park and what is the cost?

It is possible for hotel and restaurant guests to use the car park in our own grounds (at the back of the property) completely free of charge.

In case this car park is unexpectedly full, it is possible to park for free in the nearby neighbourhood.

Is it possible to charge an electric car?

No, it is not currently possible to charge your car electrically at Carré Hotel Zuid-Limburg. However, we are working on being able to realise this for our guests in the future.

Is it possible to park a bike with you?

Yes, it is possible to park your bicycle in our covered and locked bicycle shed. It is also possible to charge your electric bike for free in this parking area.

Is the hotel wheelchair accessible?

No, the hotel is not wheelchair accessible.

Can a cot be placed in the room?

Yes, this is certainly possible. By default, there is no baby bed available to the rooms, but if you indicate when booking that you would like a baby bed, we will place it for you free of charge.

Can I park near the entrance?

You can park for free at our private parking at the rear of the hotel. From this car park, it is about a 100-metre walk to the hotel entrance.

I need a taxi. Can you help me?

Yes. We have good experiences with BoTaxi from Valkenburg aan de Geul. You can request a taxi ride via their website or give them a call (via: 043-6012221).

Does the hotel have motorbike storage?

Yes. The hotel has free covered and enclosed motorbike parking for hotel guests. In the unlikely event of this storage being full, you can park in our camera-guarded car park at any time. Unfortunately, it is not possible to reserve a parking space.
